Muxerista Possibilities desde el Desierto: A Research Note from a Vegas Muxerista

Resumen

This essay reflects on my engagement with muxerista pedagogies and offers a personal account of its power and impact on my life and research. I focus on my positionality and educational journey, as well as the key interventions of femtorship, storytelling, friendship, love, and healing. I foreground my experiences growing up in Latine communities in Las Vegas, and discuss how muxerista pedagogies, and by extension, muxerista research methods and epistemologies, shape and frame my research.
